Greetings, all!

Will users be able to make mods/scenarios and legally sell them?  Some other games allow this, like StarCraft II.  If so, what else should we know at present of such?

(The intent is that users who followed a Ceres Games-specified licensing agreement could make content and legally sell it online, such as on GOG or Steam or a Ceres Games web store.  Ceres and the author would each get a cut of each sale, such as 30% to Ceres and 70% to the author like on Steam.)

So basically a bit like Bethesda does for some games?

Yep, exactly (donations are a different matter though). Additionally, citing scummy publishers like Blizzard isn't exactly beneficial for any argument.

(Not to mention that paid stuff inside a closed garden like Steam isn't good for people who own the game DRM-free and as such wouldn't even have access at all.)

User created mods and content distributed via Steam Workshop and or our webpage will be free of charge.

For semi-professional teams interested in creating their own RPG with the Realms Beyond engine (UrWelt Engine), we can talk about licensing but this needs to be a stand-alone product.

Can we create our own textures and add them like it was possible to do with NWN?

Yes, you can create custom (prerendered) 2D shapres as well as  3D objects with textures (including AO, specular and overlay layers).

What is, exactly, 2D and 3D in terms of worldbuilding? This changed a lot from pre and after toolset video?
